District 201W1, Western Australia, Australia

Welcome to the City of Perth ( Host ) Lions Club Inc. in Western Australia

Ordinary people doing Extraordinary things,

Our club was the first to be formed in Western Australia - Now over 50 years old we have been involved in many and varied projects - Standouts would be the public testing for the eye disease Glaucoma. This eventually led to the formation of the Lions Save Sight Foundation and the Lions Eye Institute by the two Western Australian districts 201W1 and 201W2 . Our Club was instrumental in procuring the largest private donation towards the building of the first Eye Institute building. This donation of $500,000 exceeded the total amount donated directly by all clubs in Western Australia.

Building a Slalom Course for wheel chairs at the Royal Perth Anex in Subiaco and many more.

Our current project is our Computer Restoration Program. The restored equipment is supplied at minimal cost to local Seniors and pensioners and around the world to deserving organisations such as Schools, Orphanages and Educational Services. To this date we have supplied over 3000 units to worthy causes overseas.

Our 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more.

Join us in making our communities and the world better places to live.

Becoming a Lion

Lions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as in communities worldwide. Their volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing unmet health and education needs worldwide.
